Chemical Peeling

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure in which a solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back after a chemical peel is smoother and younger looking.

This simple chemical peel technique is used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck ,back and hands. A solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, acne, acne scars, skin discoloration ,uneven pigmentation, freckling, dull &tired skin — typically on the face. A chemical peel can be done alone or in combination with other cosmetic procedures.

Different types

Chemical peels can be done at different depths — light, medium or deep depending on your desired results.

Deeper chemical peels- produce more-dramatic results, but also involve longer recovery times.

Superficial Peels- These are light peels that cause some redness and possible dryness for a few days.

Medium and Deep peels- These can result in more dryness, peeling and sometimes scabbing.

Advice for chemical peels, Pre – Treatment:

  • If on any kind of medication, please share all details with the doctor performing the procedure.
  • On the Day of Treatment

  • Avoid direct sun exposure after the treatment. Use sun screen regularly, SPF 30+ or as advised.
  • Avoid saunas, steam and sunbathing for 7 days after the procedure.
  • You can wash your face 6-8 hours after the procedure, but we recommend using a gentle face wash.
